FOOTBALL

The first Football team was established in 1952. The first coach was Milt Gross.
We are one of the smallest public schools in Michigan to play football.(high school enrollment is 234)
De Tour High School was the Associated Press selection for State Championship Football Honors in 1968-1969.

The first Boys Basketball team was established in 1938.
The first Girls Basketball team was established in 1971. The first Coach was Kathy Kohring.
We are one of the smallest public schools in the state of Michigan, yet we have been to the state semi finals 9 times in the past 30 years in boys and girls basketball.
In 1983 our Girls Varsity Basketball team went undefeated and won the State Championship. We are the smallest (or one of the smallest) public school ever to win a state championship.
Our Girls Varsity Basketball Team had a string of 8 district wins in a row, 4 straight regional wins, 4 straight quarter final wins and 4 straight semi final wins)
Our Boys Varsity Basketball Team has been to the State Semi Finals ( 4 ) times and to the State Finals ( 1 ) time. In 1986 the Boys went ( 26 - 1 ) with the loss in the State Final Game.

The first Volleyball team was established in 1983. Sandy Ledy was the first coach.
Gretchen Postula served a perfect game at the Varsity Level in 1986.
Kristin Kohring served a perfect game at the Junior Varsity Level in 1986.
Danielle Woods served a perfect game at the Varsity Level in 2002.
